Scientific proof that God exists!

Read here to find out why people who know a little science can sometimes be more dangerous than people who know no science at all. This person's lack of understanding of how relativity works is mind-boggling. In addition, i'd like to know how he got the datapoints from graph 1, for the x-values from 2005AD to 7000AD. It sounds like he must have found scientific proof of the existence of time travel too, and made his own time machine. Brilliant. This man should be given the Nobel Prize.

In other news, my evil rating has increased. Must be a function of linking to Zenstar's blog.

A sudden explosion of bloggery among Thurteem members!
Michelle! Hi!

Hmm. From last week: As it happens, the OED tells us that -ize is correct English and -ise is limited to only a handful of words (advertise being one of them) that, according to Fowler come to English more directly through Old French than from Latin.

It's annoying to realise that the English one had always thought correct is instead regional. I say "pants" here and they think I'm American. Everybody look for your pants.
Possibly as annoying as American dictionaries listing English spelling as "British English".

Have a great Dragonfire...

Hi :)

Yeah, it's a misconception that all words in American english get -ize instead of -ise. There are still some words where it's not a question of region but of correct grammar (something to do with the root of the word - i let Word sort it out for me).

By 'here' i'm assuming you mean England? Can't think of anywhere else where 'pants' has a meaning other than 'trousers'. But yeah, british ppl look at you funny when you say 'i have to iron my pants'.
